It's the last Friday of the month my friends - and that can only mean it's Free Pattern Friday! Hundreds of talented, budding designers are adding wonderful free patterns to the amigurumi world each day and I've made it my monthly mission to track the best ones down. This month it's all about dolls! I'm desperate to design my own and after finding the perfect flesh coloured yarn (Three Bears Yarn "Peaches & Cream") amigurumi dolls are all I could think about. Here are my top 10 favourite FREE doll patterns that I've ever pinned on my amigurumi Pinterest board.

Little Cupcake Pincushion - Free Crochet / Amigurumi Pattern

Yum! This cheery little cupcake looks good enough to eat (but please don't!) I designed this little guy based on a felt pincushion I made last Christmas for my friend Ruth. She absolutely loved the one I made her and ever since I've wanted to design a crochet version for me. This little guy will hold all of my needles and pins whilst looking super adorable on my craft desk too. I used bright embroidery floss to give him sprinkles but I don't even think I needed to - if you use pins with coloured heads they already look like real sprinkles! He's super quick & easy to make and only uses a small amount of yarn - a perfect "stash buster" project!

Figgy Willow Giveaway

One day whilst browsing the crochet tags on Instagram I came across these gorgeous, quirky plaques! I simply had to have one for my craft corner and, upon further investigation, discovered that they are by Figgy Willow - a handmade business specialising in hand painted clay signs and plaques. Figgy Willow is run by Sam, an English clay artist currently living on a little farm in Bulgaria. According to her Instagram profile, she spends her days chasing chickens in the Bulgarian sun, growing her own food and sculpting clay for her ever growing list of customers. Sounds like a life many of us crafters dream of!
